Today, Aug 31, 2008, this website was announced at the general meeting. So, I would like to welcome all newcomers and share a few thoughts.
I believe that the Mt Ralston Properites Association is moving forward in a number of ways.
This website provides an additional means of communication and sharing of information.
Anybody will be able to view the status of the water system over the internet. We are looking at automating the monitoring of our well pump house. This monitoring will help us make better decisions on how to spend our resources and will help us detect and isolate problems more quickly. This may take a few years to accomplish. There will always be a manual component to monitoring, but the electronic monitoring will help us keep a digital record of system performance.
See the weather conditions as they are. There are presently at least two private webcams in our subdivision. I foresee us adding and integrating a few webcams for the purpose of monitoring road conditions and snowfall. Do you ever want to know if the road has been plowed before you come up?
Promotion of our real estate. We are more than a mile higher in altitude than the Sacramento region, but we are not far away. What a change of scenery and weather for a place that's easy to get to.A lot of what will happen will depend on your contribution and the contributions of your neighbors.
So this website is at its starting point, with very limited content so far. There are some of you out there that know a lot more about web design than I do. So I look forward to your feedback and contributions!
