Just for fun, I have created a poll to elicit opinions on how well Sierra Pines and Mount Ralston roads were kept clear of snow by the County during the winter of 2007-2008 (last winter).
Typically, after a big storm, the county sends the road grader which pushes the snow to the side of the road. If there is sufficient buildup, the county then sends the big snowblower to remove that buildup and widen the road. This last year, I noticed that in some cases, instead of sending the grader and snowblower to clear the road, the road was sanded. At times, we had multiple inches of ice built up on the road with deep slushy wheel ruts.
What do you think of the snow removal?
